29th Year - Week Three

On the 12th I turned 29 (eek!) Part journal, part photography project, I will try to post weekly with my past week in photos. With a new camera in hand and a desire to document my last year as a 20-something here is my third week.

Here are my seven favorites from this week:
Afghan my Great Grandmother made for my Aunt that I fixed for my cousin

A rare shot of Me in front of the camera

Charlie watching the ship sail by

Fog, Ship, Lighthouse, Shore

Charlie All Smiles as we all sang "Happy Birthday"
Mmmm! Cake!

Frosting Monster

Only two sets of Photos this week. The first is of a afghan that my Great-grandmother made for my aunt when she was a teenager. Over the years it had deteriorated in a few of the granny squares so my aunt asked if I could fix it up so that she could give it to my cousin. It really meant a lot to me to be able to work on it. See more photos of the Afghan here.

Of my 3 nephews, two of them have June Birthdays. So it was off to another birthday party! This time for Charlie who turned 2 on the 26th. It was the one nice day of a week of rain so we really lucked out! See More Photos of Charlie's 2nd Birthday.

29th Year • Week Two

On the 12th I turned 29 (eek!) Part journal, part photography project, I will try to post weekly with my past week in photos. With a new camera in hand and a desire to document my last year as a 20-something here is my second week.

Here are my 7 favorites from this week:
Jolly Shot Ingredients

Jolly Shots all lined up

Raspberry-Lime Infused Vodka

Kevin & Becky taking Jolly Shots

Carson & Grampy (my FIL)

Kevin & Tammy

Two of my favorite kiddos, Jilly & Aydan

I love Pinterest, don't you? Kevin & I watched a show called Moonshiners and it got me looking at different ways to make our own Moonshine. Which is doable, but not as easy as infusing alcohol. So Pinterest led me to this site that gives a great tutorial on how to make Jolly Rancher Infused Vodka. Totally had to try it out!  I made 8 different infusions that first day, 5 Jolly Rancher infused Vodka in watermelon, blue raspberry, lime, grape & cherry. I also made a starlight mint infused vodka and a werther's infused vodka. I also made a non-candy infusion of fresh raspberries, lime rind and a bit of sugar. This one will take about a month to infuse unlike the candy vodkas that are ready in a few hours. See More Photos of My Infusions.

We took the 5 flavors of Jolly Shots & the Pepto-Mint (looks like peptobismol) to our softball game that night, they were definitely a hit! We brought 6, 8oz mason jars and they were all empty by the time we left. See More Photos from Our Softball Game.

The last three of my favorites for this week are from our Nephew Liam's 3rd Birthday party. I would have taken more but I had to leave early and go to work. :-( See More Photos from Liam's 3rd Birthday.

29th Year • Week One

On the 12th I turned 29 (eek!) Part journal  part photography project, I will try to post weekly with my past week in photos. With a new camera in hand and a desire to document my last year as a 20-something here is my first week.

Here are my 7 favorites from this week:
Kyle, Kevin & Charlie headed to my Birthday Dinner

Hibachi for Hilary's Birthday Dinner

Blowing out the candle

Messy Monkey Man

Sexiest Kitty

Dac's 1st Photo Shoot

Lupines

Went to my birthday dinner on Monday with Mom, Grandma, Kevin, Charlie & Kyle at Mara's restaurant  We had her as our server, which was just not nice for Charlie so Kyle ended up taking him home. It was a great time with mom, Kevin & Grandma though. My favorite part was when Kevin was reading Grandma the dessert menu and he got to the end which had "That 70's Cake" listed. Grandma asked what was in it, Kevin quickly replied, "I bet it's made with marijuana." Grandma quickly responded, "Well I bet that's popular." One of the photos from my dinner made it into the top 7 -- Charlie is too cute grabbing Kyle (Daddy) and Kevin's (uncle Kebin) hands and counting to three, prompting them to swing him. See more photos from my B-day Dinner.

My College roommate Hilary also had a birthday this week. She had a "Not-so-Dirty-Thirty" Party at a hibachi grill in Biddeford. I arrived late but we still had a good time! Three of the photos from this made it into my top 7.  See more photos from Hilary's Party.

After Hilary's Party I went to my sister's house to play with her new kitty, Pterodactyl, Dac for short. Two of the photos from the mini Kitty shoot that evolved are listed in my top 7. A friend on FB commented that the one with him climbing out of the rope basket could be the cover on GQ's sexiest Kitten issue. See more photos from Dac's Photo Shoot.

I also started & finished a crochet project this week. It was a pink owl for Hilary for her birthday. See photos of the Owl.

On Sunday Kevin & I went out to his dad's for a father's day lunch. My other two nephews were there as well as Kevin's two sisters, brother & sister-in-law and a bunch of dogs, including Kevin's sister's service (super) dog Moxie -- Read this article that came out this past weekend about Christy being awarded with USA Hockey's Disabled Athlete of the Year. I am so proud to call her my sister-in-law! Here are more photos from our Father's Day Lunch.

Also have a handful of snapshots from this week. One of which made it into the top 7. See more snapshots.

That's all for this week, see you all next week!
